This Woman

There is a woman inside
this little girl.

She needs to feel
safe from the memories of her past.

She needs to feel
the love that never came her way.

She needs to feel
the strength of strong arms around her.

She needs to feel
the tenderness she forgot existed.

She needs to feel
gentleness in place of the abuse endured.

She needs to feel
protected from herself as well as others.

You see this woman is
a frightened little girl
waiting for someone to
LOVE HER!!
