My Angel

I met my angel today


He took my hand and held it tight.
He guided me through the depths of my soul.
He touched my heart and gave it life.

I met my angel today

He wiped my tears with loving hands.
He soothed the pain from my past.
He gave me hope for tomorrow.

I met my angel today

God sent him to me from above
and though he is not always here,
I only need to reach for him and
Here he will be.

To my angel, you know who you are.
